ITIL® 4 Foundation Preparation

Course Overview

This 3 half day ITIL® 4 Foundation preparation course provides an introduction to ITIL® 4.  It enables students to look at IT service management through an end-to-end operating model for the creation, delivery and continual improvement of technology-enabled products and services.  ITIL® 4 Foundation students gain an understanding of the following:

 

  • A holistic approach to facilitating value co-creation between service providers and consumers in the form of products and services
  • The Seven Guiding Principles of ITIL® 4
  • The ITIL® 4 Service Value System and Service Value Chain
  • The Four Dimensions of Service Management
  • An overview of ITIL® practices including: Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Enablement, and Service Level Management.

This is an instructor-led course delivered live in a classroom or live virtually.  It provides a comprehensive introduction to the concepts, terms, objectives and benefits of the ITIL® best practices framework. The course provides a combination of short lectures, practical group exercises, quizzes, a sample exam, and test taking tips to prepare the student to understand and apply ITIL® principles, and to pass the official examination leading to ITIL® 4 Foundation certification.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for the course and it is open to everyone. Executives and managers are encouraged to participate to better understand the potential benefits of ITIL® in their organization.

Exam & Certification

This course prepares students for the ITIL® Foundation Exam, however the official certification exam is not included.
